He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has never given up on his writing dream.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. As a young child she wandered into the woods despite her father's warnings against it. Afterwards she claimed she had encountered illithids who tried to eat her hand. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Helen was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Like her mother and her sister before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Fortune-teller. She guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.
