History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: He wants revenge against gnolls; and someone believes him a fraud

Personality: She shows great sympathy to all travelers. She's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Scribe but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Scribe. She now owns her own business.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions
