Personality: She hates illithids. She views them as having robbed her home of its proper glory. A true patriot, Herleva would do anything for her country. She is fiercely protective of her fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her father. When Herleva reached her early adolescence her Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: Many dire rats want her driven away; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
