He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: Born in the west to a Crown-heir, Richard learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Description: The woman speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. She seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if she got out from a pool a few moments ago. She wears a black vest with golden trim over her white shirt. Her yellow leather gloves and pants are well-kept, and her black boots flare out at the collars. Her brown hair is singed and shortened. She wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: She is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help her friends. She considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. Further she is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Oriel was born on a far southern mountains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Masseuse. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Description: This petite short woman is perpetually holding a beer of some kind. She does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when she can avoid it, marred by beers. Her hair is greying and her face has many wrinkles. She is baby faced.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Knight born in the past three hundred years. She is stubborn though. She always likes to keep a trick up her sleeve. She likes to fight dirty and will kick and punch below the belt if she feels she even has a chance of losing.

History: Ella was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She's also a talented Mortician, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Meet up once more with her childhood friend; and she has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day
