History: The child of a Roofer, who enjoyed hunting, Katherine was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Katherine grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Katherine. After months of barely getting by, Katherine managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.

Personality: Emeny speaks confidently about a variety of topics with grace. She is clearly well-traveled and educated. A fanatic, her devotion to her small selection of gods is unquestionable. She claims to be doing their will and will base all her actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: She got into the Ruler business at a young age. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She has worked as a Ruler like her mother before her.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He's also a talented Weaver, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. Eloise is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her brothers into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. Her father worked until she suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. She had to support her now crippled father and took her father's old job. She has never given up on her music dream.
