History: Roland lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His father disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his father, he was betrayed dozens of times. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. Animals are drawn to her, and she is able to talk to them.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered singing. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and wants to work out more often

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Nicholas was born on a far southern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Interpreter. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes

Description: He is a man of bearing and well nourished. He wears just a tan suit. His chestnut hair is slicked back into a classic pompadour. His amber eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Bertram embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bertram is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Herbalist. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
