History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. She is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in her opinion.

History: Emeny was raised in a hard working conservative environment. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She has worked as a Carter like her mother before her.

Description: A thin woman, she clearly needs to put on some weight, but she still has a lot of muscle. She is wearing a long, grey, dusty cloak. Her hair, while still mostly red, has prominent grey streaks. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. More though she will beg to come along on any journeys. She will attempt to stowaway on any ship she can in the hopes that it will get her further away.

History: Jacoba was born the youngest of three triplets. Before the accident, she was one of the most outspoken anti-Human activists. She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Motivation: Wants to raise her children well; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

Description: She is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. Her golden hair, when down, is lengthy. She is missing an eye and her face is severely sunburned. Her one remaining eye shines gray.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Born to a Farmer, her mother struggled to pay the bills. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: She is a bit of a kleptomaniac.
