His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Anne was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the gnolls.
