History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bernard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bernard. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Born to a Scribe, her father struggled to pay the bills. A freak accident while working with her Scribe father left her crippled. She tends to her Miner job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations she has.

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. She lacks restraint and is impulsive. She jumps in and acts without thinking all too often.

History: Her arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, her parents had her trained. Her mother was a mechanic, and taught her how to fix just about anything. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and to prove her worth to the world

History: She was born in the east. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
