History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Roland was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: Tim wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Paladin, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Tim was born on a far western desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Bellfounder. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: Sarah was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Personality: Abrasive and pushy, she has a hard time making friends. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: Helen was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.
