Personality: He considers himself the protector of his home. He feels this is his duty and calling. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Bernard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She can speak with the recently deceased. She will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Her parents enrolled her in a Paladin school at a young age so that she could practice her psionic talents. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally; and retire the richest woman in the north

History: Eleanor was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She moved from fad to fad and when she turned 15 she discovered singing. Some 8 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Eleanor never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg; and she is wracked by social anxiety
