History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Elizabeth was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. She always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by dire rats. Matilda was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the dire rats.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Alice is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Bather kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.
