Personality: He is extraordinarily eccentric. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.
History: Gilbert lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His childhood dream was to be a Layabout, but he was a colossal failure. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Layabout they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Navigator, and he later adopted a second son.
Motivation: Sabotage a competitor.

Description: His skin has the orange glow of too much sun. He wears a green costume with the symbols of magic on his torso. His red hair is long and unkept. His face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.
Personality: Thomas is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He spends most of his days drinking in the Inn, the rowdiest and most dangerous establishment in town. There he gambles, wrestles and listens to stories told by travelers.
History: Thomas was born in the east. At a young age he loved to build and create. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature monstrous two handed axe.
Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality

Description: This slender man stands about 6'5". He very much looks the part of a Spice Merchant. His black hair is cut jaggedly and amateurishly. His eyes are brown.
Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. He is able to fit into much smaller and tighter spaces than normal.
History: He was born at the edge of vast forest. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Spice Merchant. He struck the Spice Merchant job and began his own company from there.
Motivation: To be a Bookbinder again.

Beneath her sweater she keeps a concealed crossbow, just in case. Her skin is also unnaturally pale. Her brown hair is thinning but still full. She has gleaming, smiling brown eyes.
Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She enjoys reading and quiet.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Millicent grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She now spends her time doing works of charity.
Motivation: She wants to meet her childhood hero; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
