In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Helen alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

It was this mentality that drove her into the Merchant business.

History: Hugolina hails from a village terrorized by brigands. Hugolina was born on a far southern island where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Merchant. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was taken from his home at a very young age. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions.
