After coming to the age of reason, Ida took it upon herself to study the psionic arts in their entirety; because of this, she was labeled a dark omen and banished from her homeland. She would ruin relationships and cause injury. She was reprimanded several times before being given her current form and forced to learn humility.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Dilettante born in the past three hundred years. She takes great pride in her work and is very well organized. Her planner is full of calendar events.

History: She was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In her youth she was a Mason, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger brother on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. She now owns her own business.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: She is erratic and paranoid. She believes giants are coming to abduct people. She also is a firm believer in the womanly ideal.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. Because her father participated in the massacre of their homeland, giants burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the east, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her mother from journeying east to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and to prove her worth to the world
