History: Bertram was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and many dire rats want him driven away

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He is always in debt, since he spends his money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: Chad was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. He modeled his life after the story, seeing himself destined a hero. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
