Her spouse left her for another, whom she beat to an almost bloody pulp. She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Adelard grew up listening to his father's many stories. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He guards a vault combo very seriously as well as the key needed to open it.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: He has always had a great fascination with Human culture. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
