Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. Heward enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A freak accident while working with his Miller father left him crippled. Some 4 years later his spouse died after the birth of his son. Heartbroken, Heward never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his son whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the east. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When Bertram reached his early adolescence his Human mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions.
