History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Richard was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Richard's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Richard and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is intelligent and cunning, but he will too often allow his rage to get the better of him. He will lose his cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: Born to a Tanner, his father struggled to pay the bills. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
