History: Gifted from a young age, Tim studied abroad. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Tim alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

History: Oriel was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
