She did whatever it took for her to survive. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Charles's homeland. Charles decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.
