History: The child of a Crown-heir, who enjoyed hunting, Gunter was taken on many hunting expeditions. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Gunter alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Miner.

Description: This exceptionally lanky woman does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when she can avoid it. She wears her golden hair up. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: She fancies herself a trickster and likes to rely on her wits to carry the day. She cares for her older siblings and likes to be recognized by them. To her fellows she is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when drow swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. While she appears to be a normal Human, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: Marry her brother to traveling adventurers; and her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bellfounder. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

Her hair, while still mostly silver, has prominent grey streaks. She wears large thick round spectacles.

Personality: She is unhospitable to her core. Her small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. She takes great joy in being the best Beggar in town.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
