He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: She likes to be helpful to her clients. She likes to prescribe proper advice to her clients. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Miner but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the south. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

She wears rectangular glasses with silver brims.

Personality: This woman loves singing and to teach people singing more than just about anything. She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the south. She has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. She now owns her own business.

Description: A woman with a cold, calculating air about her, she wears baggy brown pantaloons and a blue scarf. Her auburn hair is unkempt and raggedy. She has a dull look in her green eyes.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She made a deal with a demon which lead to her current lot in life, and she's becoming increasingly nervous about it; and to pay off her debts
