Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. A true patriot, Bertram would do anything for his country. He is fiercely protective of his fellow citizens and foreign allies.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. When Bertram reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. His parents enrolled him in a Paladin school at a young age so that he could practice his martial talents. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. The occasional robbery is her preferred attention getting crime, but she mainly uses her means for meeting her own perverse desires.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. She became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: A rival would like her out of the picture.

Description: He wears just a brown suit. With a patchy white beard and wild white hair. His eyes are amber and beady.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Spy profession.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Painter responsibilities is difficult.
