In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature pickaxe.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Elysande grew up listening to her father's many stories. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Human companion (her 'brother'). She was granted arcane powers by her dying brother.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when giants swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions; and she wants revenge against giants
