History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Jacoba was born with her mother's beautiful face. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. After a long history of fighting, Jacoba and her spouse have recently divorced.

She always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
