History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a orcs raid, leaving Adam alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to orcs demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Born in a small village she learned the ways of the warrior from her mother. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Sarah grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Sarah. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: Heward lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.
