History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Richard grew up listening to his father's many stories. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her mother. Because her mother participated in the massacre of their homeland, brigands burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. She was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented her and her father from journeying north to reunite her family. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Hubert's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. The war was a terrible time for him, and Hubert does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His mother was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
