History: Born to a Spice Merchant, his father struggled to pay the bills. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Apothecary work with an outfit from a few towns over. Apothecary work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He's also a talented Spice Merchant, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

History: Born to a Jeweler, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Her mother disappeared, and while she tried to raise money to find her mother, she was betrayed dozens of times. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Miner and was forced into it by her family; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion
