His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Geoffrey was born on a far southern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Cartwright. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
