History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Robert grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Robert grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Robert. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by brigands. Robert was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the brigands.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Melissa has worked very hard to control her curse. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wishes to resurrect an old love; and human compassion
