History: Trained by his father for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Gilbert took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. He tends to his Ploughman job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

She was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. She has became unsatisfied with her lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her father was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. Some 9 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Giselle never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: He was born into a rich family. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He has never given up on his poetry dream.
