History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Vicky grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Vicky. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Hubert was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He helped his mother out around the business and became quite the natural. He has worked as a Stableman like his mother before him.

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Stableman who has hired him part-time. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Kyle was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Kyle's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Kyle and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Courier and was forced into it by her family; and a rival would like her out of the picture
