History: The child of a Bowyer, who enjoyed hunting, Joan was taken on many hunting expeditions. At some point she was captured by drow and was tortured. After several years of this she finally managed to escape. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Description: Dark and lean, she is a relatively plain woman. She wears a worn and beaten armor. Her blonde hair is still thick. Her eyes are a pleasant green.

Personality: She has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. She is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with her big mouthed big gutted partner. Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her mother always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. In her formative years she discovered how persuasive she was. She began using that to her advantage selling useless wares at inflated prices. Recently a tribe of giants attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
