History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Carpenter they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Fletcher, and she later adopted a second son.

History: Born in the east to a Carpenter, Nicholas learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and further expansion of business
