History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He has never given up on his singing dream.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and he wants revenge against illithids

Personality: She is not truly malevolent, but she is obsessed with poetry. She constantly tries to fill her life with poetry. She misses her home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Williamina was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.

Motivation: She is greedy; and she has money and likes to spend it
