History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Dustin was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. He has worked as a Fortune-teller like his mother before him.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and he is unsatisfied with his job
