History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the east. Through the years after Simon was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Simon's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

History: Born in the east to a Miller, Oriel learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Oriel was born on a far eastern plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Miller. She struck the Miller job and began her own company from there.

Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Guy's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Baker arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Guy alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
