Her respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to her, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, she tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in her reactions to snap at those who irritate her, Avice is combative with any and all who dare try her patience in the slightest.

History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the east. Her mother was very strict, and drilled into her lessons on being the perfect lady. She has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Description: This man is very fat, and is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His blue eyes peer out from beneath his deerstalker black hat.

Personality: While he acts the brute, he is far gentler than he would appear. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.

Personality: She loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. She feeds upon the attention of others.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Since her father passed away years ago, her mother had doted on her, and she came to think her herself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by her attractiveness, a trait in which she easily excels the other women of her town. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
