History: Simon was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. Her father was a soldier and died while she was still young. Rosalind was left her father's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent father.

Personality: She takes her job very seriously, in part because she fears she cannot get a new one. She moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep her interest for a month it is impressive.

History: She was born in the west, but her parents moved at a very young age to the south. She worked as a nervous Performer and found it very stressful. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Engraver they were divorced and she won custody of their daughter. She worked as a Performer, and she later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: She'd like to take her coworkers down a peg.
