History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Bernard was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. After coming to the age of reason, Bernard took it upon himself to study the arcane arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Confrontational and typically high on some drug or another. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: His father raised him in a mountain cabin. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever.

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He dresses in grey turtlenecks beneath a brown coat with red slacks. He has wavy golden hair. His violet eyes show the wear and tear of someone lonely with a great burden to carry.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Miner. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: His divine talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Miner.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and money/treasure

Description: This northern woman wears tattered old clothes. Her clothes are grease stained in places. She wears a feathered hat to hide her balding. Her eyes are amber and she is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: She is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. She is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. After a long history of fighting, Ahlyssa and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it
