However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the orcs.

Personality: She is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. She is cautious and jumpy. She reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. In her 12th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Her hair is golden, silky, and of moderate length. Her fair skin shows little sign of her aristocratic breeding.

Personality: Calm and collected, she is a well trained Spice Merchant. She tends to be very friendly, and is drawn to music, the smells of food and wine, and out-door festivals.

History: She was born in a small island village. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. Being a Spice Merchant kept her interest for a while, but then she became depressed and bored. So she turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and wants to have a good time and be beloved

History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.
