When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere. History: Born in the north to a Guard, Bertram learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Bertram has worked very hard to control his curse. He's also a talented Mortician, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
