History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. She found a children's book about a Human Paladin who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. Some 7 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Sarah never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 15th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Richard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
