History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his mother. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. History: Williamina lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. In her youth she was a Ruler, and wanted to be a champion fighter when she grew up. She was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives she lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. She saw the brutality and swore off her fighting aspirations, taking her younger brother on her back after seeing her parents die, and fled the country. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

History: Bertram was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Paladin, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Paladin in service of a powerful lord somewhere.
