He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when gnolls swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Jacoba was born on a far western forest where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Healer. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
