Description: A man with a calm yet intense air about him, he wears a tight fitting black shirt and pants. His golden hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is fixated on the number 9. He counts his steps and bites of food to keep in track with it. He seems to be used to being ignored and not questioned about it. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Gerard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Sage they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Body Guard, and he later adopted a second son.

Personality: He is quite gentle and does not know the full extent of his strength. He works very hard to maintain that gentleness. He dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. His biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to share knowledge with the world

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.
