History: When he was but 3 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Bernard was born on a far western mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Slave Trader. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To share knowledge with the world; and he made a deal with a demon which lead to his current lot in life, and he's becoming increasingly nervous about it

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Cursed with lycanthropy at a very young age, Geva has worked very hard to control her curse. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions
