Personality: She is a woman who does what she needs to. She will acquiesce to black mail and extortion to avoid trouble. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: A powerful wizard made her what she is. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. After months of barely getting by, Alice managed to ambush a major caravan with a load of valuables. Instantly wealthy, she made her way to the capital under a new identity.

She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: She swings through moods quickly. One moment she is cool and collected, the next she is carried away by passions. She receives visions of the future at random moments

History: Agnes was raised in a hard working conservative environment. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. Her addictions have taken their toll on her wallet, and she has found herself with a great deal of debt owed.

Description: This younger middle-aged woman is renowned for her bright grey dresses and hats, and a wedding ring on her right hand. Her red hair is singed and shortened. Her violet eyes dart from person to person to random spaces in the air.

Personality: She likes to be helpful to her clients. She likes to prescribe proper advice to her clients. She will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. She cares deeply for her spouse and does her best to make sure her guests look presentable.

History: She was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Agnes grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Agnes. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Herbalist responsibilities is difficult.

Description: She is an exceptionally muscular looking northern young adult. She wears suspenders and blue workpants. Her shirt is tan, and she wears a heavy blue leather apron most of the time. Beneath her clothing is a huge mess of scar tissue. She has wavy silver hair. She wears an eyepatch.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. Avelina is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: She is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get her out.
