History: He was born in the west, but his parents moved at a very young age to the north. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 11 years.

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. She is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: When she was but 7 years old her parents immigrated from the north. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Beatrice grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Beatrice. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Anne embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. She is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She was one of the best in her class, and was picked up by her current employer. She quickly showed her capability and was soon promoted to a head role. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
